Next week, the Division of Student Affairs and Success will host three finalists for the Associate Vice Chancellor of Colleges, Housing and Educational Services (CHES) position. AVC CHES on-campus interviews will take place April 10, 11, and 12. The campus community is invited to participate in the interviews. 

Staff and faculty meet and greets

Staff and faculty are invited to attend a meet and greet for each candidate in the University Center's Alumni Room The meet and greet will be held April 10, 11, and 12 from 2:30 - 3:15 p.m.

Position overview

Reporting to the vice chancellor of student affairs and success, the AVC CHES leads a department that creates, implements, and maintains a comprehensive array of living-learning programs and support services that enhance the UC Santa Cruz educational mission.

The AVC CHES provides strategic leadership in the design, development, implementation, coordination, assessment, and continuous improvement of residential and dining-related programs and services for students. They are charged with creating and maintaining a healthy, inclusive, and responsive campus environment for approximately 9,500 residential students.
