Colleges, Housing and Educational Services
Colleges, Housing and Educational Services (CHES) includes many services that impact student lives on a daily basis, from student housing and dining to college student life. In addition, CHES provides leadership in capital planning, conference services, and early education services.
Student Success and Equity
With six resource centers affirming students’ diverse and intersecting identities and a wide range of academic and non-academic programs and initiatives, Student Success and Equity (SSE) is dedicated to ensuring all students, regardless of their entry point, are empowered to succeed.
Student Development and Engagement
Student Development and Engagement (SDE) encompasses a range of essential services and programs, including Basic Needs, Slug Support, the Dean of Students Office, Orientation, and the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Education (OSCCE). In addition, SDE is home to student organizations, the Student Union Assembly (SUA), the Quarry Amphitheater, and more.
Student Health and Wellness
The Student Health and Wellness unit includes medical, mental health, advocacy, education, and student health outreach services. UCSC students have access to a full range of health and wellness resources, including in-person and telehealth appointments, groups, workshops, and more.
Budget and Financial Management
Budget and Financial Management provides advice and support to Division of Student Affairs and Success departments and the Vice Chancellor regarding operational budgets, accounting, staffing, personnel, and financial planning issues.
